Shanmukhi Mudra is great for focusing your attention and finding clarity within.
It involves closing off your sense perception and quieting the noise.
This mudra can be considered a practice of pratyahara, sense withdrawal, which enables deeper states of meditation.
It increases your ability to perceive inner sound as well as develops your intuition.
It reduces irritability and promotes peace by calming your mind and relaxing your nervous system.
How to perform:
Sit comfortably and connect to your breath.
Raise your arms and point your elbows outward.
Close your mouth and place your pinky fingers below your lips and your ring fingers above.
Place your middle fingers on each side of your nose.
Close your eyes with your index fingers.
Close your ears with your thumbs.
Breathe deeply and listen to the sound of your breath.
Shift your focus inward and onto your Third Eye.
Have you ever practiced Shanmukhi?
I’d love to hear all about your experience.
All the best,
Joya
